Penrose tiling is a pattern of geometric figures, based on the golden section, that makes it possible to cover a flat surface without leaving any empty spaces and without overlaps, in an infinite and aperiodic pattern. This is a low table and it is the first in a series of objects inspired by this fascinating mathematical universe, the forms of which are expertly combined in a series of infinite geometric possibilities, in which chance itself, as if by magic, ceases to be chance.
In 2020 Roger Penrose won the Nobel prize for Physics.
