Betty Bee lives and works in Naples. An internationally renowned artist, she began her artistic career in Vienna in the mid-1980s as a performer. Success came in the 1990s, when she became the protagonist of important exhibitions and installations in the major contemporary art spaces and museums. A life-long bad girl, endowed however with remarkable expressive delicacy, she is capable of reflecting in her works on the decadence of representation in the visual arts, using heterogeneous media such as photography, performance, video and painting. Her works are currently held in prestigious public and private collections, including the Madre Museum in Naples.
