Forcella CHARM

The object is inspired by the Pythagorean Y which, according to legend, gave its name to Forcella, the famous district in Naples with a three-way forked street that reflects its shape.
This form has more ancient roots however, linked to Hecate. This archaic divinity may be associated with the “golden branch” – mistletoe – which opened to Aeneas the doors of the Averno, which were guarded by the great goddess. Inspired by the mistletoe, a plant with Y-shaped tripartite branches, we have made ‘forcella’ in cast metal.
